Is TX Governor Candidate, Debra Medina, a Libertarian?

The question is: Is GOP grass-roots activist, Debra Medina, Texas Governor hopeful a Libertarian? The answer to this question is not so simple as a yes or no.

In America, it is well accepted that we operate in a two party system. Republican and Democrat. However, there is a litter of other parties. Libertarian, Constitutional, Socialist, Green, etc. Among members of the Republican party, many will define themselves as Christian, Pro-Life, Libertarian, or Constitutional. These self-definitions are merely dialects. When someone accuses Mrs. Medina of being a Libertarian, they are accusing her of being a member of the Libertarian Party. To this, she can simply answer… no.

The other question, of course, is whether or not Mrs. Medina is a Libertarian Republican (the dialect.) To this one may look at our party’s historical leaders and ask whether or not it is possible to be both. We once had a President named Ronald Reagan. About 90% of the Republican Party loves him. Many wish he could come back from the grave and lead the party out of the mess we’ve gotten in.

On July 1, 1975 in Reason Magazine, Mr. Reagan said the following:
“If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism. I think conservatism is really a misnomer just as liberalism is a misnomer for the liberals — if we were back in the days of the Revolution, so-called conservatives today would be the Liberals and the liberals would be the Tories. The basis of conservatism is a desire for less government interference or less centralized authority or more individual freedom and this is a pretty general description also of what libertarianism is.”

We find that, according to president Reagan, not only is Libertarian an acceptable dialect of conservatism and belong in the Republican party, LIBERTARIANISM IS CONSERVATISM!!!

So it comes down to semantics. The fact of the matter is: Yes. Debra Medina is a Libertarian dialect Republican (read Reagan conservative.) However, she does not belong to the Libertarian party, she’s been a grass roots activist in the Republican party for 2 decades. In fact, she is the former Warton County Republican Party Chair! The question then is, the people who do not support Mrs. Medina, citing that she is a Libertarian (which we now understand is true conservatism) what do they believe? What dialect of the Republican party are they?

Let us look at who these “Medina haters” support:

Rick Perry:

Weak on state sovereignty: LIBERAL

Big on government spending: SOCIALIST

Increases taxes: SOCIALIST

Disregard for parent’s and individuals rights: STATIST

Uses the Texas Enterprise Fund to squelch competition and free markets while rewarding political friends: SOCIALIST/CORPORATIST/CORRUPT

Purged conservative judge, Steve Smith, and replaced with a… LIBERAL

Weak on immigration, penalizing Americans for being citizens: LIBERAL/GLOBALIST
Looks to D.C. to tax and spend to fix the border: LIBERAL
Signed the hate bills crime, squelching free speech: LIBERAL
Supports No Child Left Behind and Security and Prosperity Partnership: SOCIALIST/GLOBALIST
Removed Texan’s property to hand over to foreign entities to toll us: SOCIALIST/GLOBALIST
Attended 2007 Bilderberg group meeting in Istanbul, Turkey: CORRUPT/GLOBALIST

So it seems for many Republicans in 2010 that is better to support a Liberal, Statist, Socialist, Corrupt, Globalist Republican than a Libertarian Republican as defined by our hero Ronald Reagan.

Perhaps there is more than meets the eye with these Medina-haters. For they either do not look at the actions and principles of their candidate, or they are truly Socialist/Liberal/Globalist Republicans themselves.

Making the new question: “How does a Reagan-loving Republican not support Debra Medina when the contrast between her and her opponent is so stark?”

To find out what to which dialect of the Republican party you belong, use the facebook app: http://apps.facebook.com/advocatesquiz/

Then decide whether you want to support the “Libertarian Conservative” or the “Liberal.”

My Silent Protest

This Obamanation is an Abomination!

It is a sad day in the United States of America. Not to say that Mr. Obama is the first, nor far from the last, socialist, special-interest agenda, puppet. However, he is the current one. And he is worshiped, and drooled over by the masses of the mis-educated.

Below is my protest:

(for those of you who may think that I am, in some way, disrespecting the American flag, please read the  page I posted on my fence in its entirety, found here: inauguration and flag code

The Hussein Argument

Ok,

Lately, I have received an enormous amount of flack for my constant use of the word “Hussein” when referring to Barack Hussein Obama (oops, there I go again.) Initially, I concede, I did this out of mere spite. Because I despise everything the man stands for (not “stands for” in the sense of his beliefs or ideas, he has none. Rather “stands for” in the sense of the icon that is Mr. Hussein represents.) For 8 years, I’ve listened to Bush-bashing. I can’t say I’m extremely offended by this, considering Mr. Walker (hehe) didn’t always act like a Republican. Frankly, I’m not sure he is one at all (seeing as I have read the party platform - putting me at least one read up on him, I’m sure.) Just the same, I’ve listened to venom-spewing. So, now it is my turn. Now “they” have “their” “man.” (So many misnomers these days, I find my frequenting the quotation mark keys wearing them away.) So that is the crux of why resort to such horrible tactics as to call a “man” by his name.

Well, the fuss started and people became uncomfortable. They were “particularly bothered by the constant “Hussein” references.” They said to me, “Hussein has an obvious negative connotation. Don’t try and act like you weren’t aware of it!” I began to wonder, “should I not be saying this? Am I wrong for doing so?” Well, truth be told, I felt a smidgen of remorse. Undoubtedly because a great deal of effort has been exerted on, my entire life, in order to make my particular demographic feel some sort of guilt when speaking negatively about another demographic, despite the motive. (Reasons why aren’t lost on me. Rather they belong in another blog on another day, so I shall not delve.) Then, after careful inspection, I realized that, although it is fun to get my shot; to be sarcastic and demeaning, that I needed a more wholesome agenda, a more pure and clear motive for my constant use of this “gentleman’s” “name.”

Ergo, the “Hussein Argument

1) The Definition:

The boy’s name Hussein \hu(s)-sein\ is pronounced hoo-SAYN. It is of Arabic origin, and its meaning is “small handsome one”.

The name tells us what we already know - that B. Hussein Obama has Arabic relations, and is of Shiite Islamic decent. Moreover, it means “small handsome one.” Excellent! I’m so glad I looked this up. His name is fitting - as are most names. (Google my given name, “Roy” and you’ll see.) The very definition of his name “small, handsome one” sums up the superficial nature that is Mr. Obama. He is, quite simply, a pretty face. He is a “well-mannered young black man” and nothing more. He is void of true substance (especially in his early campaign.) He was elected in spite of what he may believe, rather than because of it simply because he was the better looking, better speaking, well-marketed candidate.

2) The Correlation:

All Muslims aren’t terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslim. (speaking in generalities, of course.) B. Hussein Obama (gotta love this one) has known ties with unapologetic terrorists. Though many choose to belittle the fact that he and William Aires have close ties, they do. That is simple fact. For better or worse. Put your blind support of him aside, this much is well known. He wants to negotiate with terrorists, is supported by Hamas and most of the Arab world, has Islamic an Arab relatives, etc. Additionally, I am not saying that Mr. Hussein is a Muslim. I don’t believe that any more than I believe that he is a Christian. (this could be a fun discussion in its self considering that he supposedly never heard any of the messages at his “church.” But I’ll practice restraint, for now.) What I am saying is that his name, being of Islamic orientation symbolizes his known alignment with terrorists, Islamo-fascists, anti-Americans (throw in communists), and his stated intent to defend the Muslim faith against Christian extremists.

3) I Want a Word Too!:

“CHANGE.” I’ve heard it too many times. So loud, so arrogant, so empty - I thought my ears were going to bleed. If Barack Hussein Obama can run for president on a word that is supposed to contain so much meaning that books will undoubtedly be written on it; permit me the same opportunity to use a single word to express so much more than it’s mere definition holds intrinsically. I am only following in the Messiah’s footsteps on this one “peeps.” I trust you can find no fault with that. What I have determined is this: through my descriptions herein, I have defined what his name, this single word, truly embodies. And for sake of not having to constantly repeat all I have said, I shall continue to use his supposed birth name (as we’ve seen no valid birth certificate yet) to refer to him because it says so much more when you look deeply into who he is.

4) Why Not Change It?:

First of all, we know the guy likes change. We know he is not traditional (he believes that our constitution is fundamentally flawed.) Why didn’t he just change his name? (Perhaps he’d have to prove he’s a citizen to be able to file for name change?) I do not know. But I DO know this: When people convert to Islam they often change their Christian names to Islamic names (i.e. Cashes Clay to Muhammad Ali.) Why then didn’t Mr. Hussein change his “name” when he converted from Islam (stated as his religion when he was a child) to “Christianity?” (Well, the Rev. Wright brand of it, anyway.) I’m not advocating that he should have changed his name or not. I’m simply pointing out that rather than distancing himself, he chose to embrace his heritage - one of fascism, human rights violations, and terrorism. Or maybe there is something bigger at play here. That, I do not know. I can only speculate.

In conclusion, I leave you with this:

His name isn’t what makes him guilty. His guilt is what makes his name relevant!

p.s. if you are going to argue with me, I will absolutely ignore race card playing. Nothing I said refers to his race (which he is as much white as he is black.) I said many things concerning his Nationality. But nationality is not race, and I am not racist. Playing the race card is admitting that you can’t make a sound argument. So, go ahead if you want. Prove that you’re wrong.

For Love of McPalin

So I’m psyched! I just got back from the Republican National Convention. The McCain-Palin presidential ticket is the best choice, and I want the world to know. Obiden has no business in DC.

To show my excitement, I did what any American entrepreneur would do. I started a business. If you go to www.ChooseTheHero.com you’ll find McCain-Palin updates, McPalin T-Shirts and other paraphernalia, and a section dedicated to one question - “Why McPalin?” People from all over the country have been visiting the site and answering that question.

Go check it out!

Newt Takes on the Press

Palin More Experienced than Obama?

We’re all thinking it. Leave it to Newt Gingrich to put it into words. Watch this interview. Is it even a contest? Our VP Nominee has more experience than the Democrat’s Presidential nominee. Could they have found someone with more experience? Probably. But they want someone who can sell lies and win an election. They don’t actually care whether or not he is experience enough to lead our nation.

Who do you trust with our national defense?

The ZERO?

or

The Hero?

hey! that sounds like a t-shirt. Good idea! ChooseTheHero.com

Later peeps!

Trey Stinnett of Deer Park — a 23-year-old delegate who is documenting his trip with a blog called treyblog.com — said, “I’m going to spend a lot of my time communicating with the people back home.” Among other points, he said, he’s countering concerns from some who have written saying they’d heard the whole convention was canceled.

Trey Stinnett, the youngest delegate in the Texas delegation, was “ecstatic” after Palin’s speech. “I think Sarah absolutely rocked the house,” he said. He was wearing a cowboy hat that had “Palin is hot” scribbled in a black marker on the top.

His girlfriend, 21- year-old Paula Stang (and alternate delegate) called Palin “refreshing.

Remember, Remember the 4th of November!

A Rising Star.

So I didn’t update the blog yesterday. I apologize. I am working on a video-blog of yesterday’s events as we speak. But I wont be posting chronologically because I’m just too dang excited! Excited about what?

SARAH PALIN

Tonight’s speech was amazing! She laid it down. Full of red-meat she talked issues, not just your run-of-the-mill political blah of vacuous campaign rhetoric. She is so spot-on. I really believe that this is Sarah Palin is the next big conduit of true, conservative change. History just may show this to be the best RNC speech since Reagan in ‘76.

As I told a reporter on C-SPAN tonight, before I came up here I was voting against Obama, and tonight, I am officially voting FOR McCain Palin. I truly believe that when John S. McCain and Sarah Palin take office in January, they will begin cleaning up Washington. She has the record of making the right moral, conservative decisions. She stands up to opposition. Sticks to her values in face of diversity. I am excited to see the future of this party - my party. And that future is Sarah Palin.

A quick word about her oldest daughter, Bristol. The fact that she is pregnant outside marriage means she is human. The fact that she is keeping the baby, and marrying the man half-responsible shows that in the Palin family, responsibility and accountability are as important as their morality. If it had been a more amoral family, we would have never heard about it. The baby would probably been killed. Thank God we still have families who can work through their hard times, and see the joy that comes from it.

God bless this Mother, Wife, Soon-to-be-Grandmother, Mayor, Governor, and next Vice President of these United States!!!!

And may I say that… um… I have a huge crush on her. I checked with Paula, and I’m cleared to be totally smitten. I mean, serously, she is really, really hot! (I CAN be 23 on here right?)

Wow! What a Day!

Day 2 & 3 - Amazing People Everywhere!

Paula, John Voit, Trey

Yesterday - I was sick. Went to the hospital. Had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic. So that killed half the day and all my energy. I DID, however, make it to the premier of An American Carol. It was awesome. I love satirical spoofs. And I love making fun of Michael Moore, so it was great!

Today was great. No doubt. We were worried about you guys at home. Thank all of you for keeping in touch and letting us know you were ok. Watch the video for a run-down on the 1st official day of the 2008 Republican National Convention.

See ya tomorrow!
